Tetsuro, or Tet, specializes in wet matters such as collision, oil pollution and other environmental claims, salvage, wreck removal, heavy cargo claims and its defense, piracy/hijack on the one hand and dry matters on the other hand. He handled most of recent serious casualty cases, involving Japanese shipowners/insurers/clubs and many Somali/Nigerian piracy cases. His unique experience as a mariner makes him a lawyer who can handle cases from the shipowner's or seafarer's eyes. His area of business expands to non-marine international matters such as technology licensing, entertainment contracts and others. He always tries to bring an innovative viewpoint when handling his case.

At present, he is a councilor of the Japanese Maritime Law Association, an arbitrator of the Japan Shipping Exchange and member/councilor of other various marine-related organizations. He is also a Special Lecturer of the Japan Coast Guard Academy.

The former rugby player now likes jogging, bicycling and sailing, snatching every possible hours to do so. He is a huge fan of Steve Martin, Kevin Kline, Meg Ryan, Aaliyah. He is proud of more than 20 Chinese recipes.
