Right from the start, Ako showed remarkable knowledge and skills required for practicing law, bringing the office young and refreshing energy. She handles wide range of maritime cases such as collision, cargo defense or recovery, ship arrest, charter party as well as various contracts which shipping interests are involved. She won the Supreme Court case for a dockyard against quasi-governmental financier based on lien on the ship. She made it in her first three years without any assistance of partners. Because of this, she is now the first to turn to when it comes to procedural law. She also made anti-trust allegation case involving most of domestic Japanese tankers before the Fair Trade Commission, which had significant effect on recent change of Anti-trust Law in Japan. She also works for civil cases that involve family law, corporate law plus criminal cases.

She loves seeing movies and plays and listening to various music especially in live.
