Kenji is one of the youngest lawyers among us, a marine procedure commission agent and also a visiting researcher at the Institute of Maritime Law, Waseda University. He has handled scores of maritime cases such as cargo defense and recovery, collision, charter party negotiation as well as litigation cases. He has also dealt with non-marine cases such as Japanese family law cases, corporate law cases, real property cases, traffic accident cases and criminal cases, making good use of his knowledge gained from the years spent in a non-marine law office.

He has a qualification of Registered Customs Specialist of Japan since 2010. The qualification has been a great plus for him when involved in international trade cases.

While he was a consummate rugby player in his high school days, he now likes playing tennis, cycling and golfing. His ultimate pastime is to spend time with friends, enjoying Japanese sake and his handmade soba noodle.
